Process of the Engine Block
1.Engines are oven baked, magma fluxed, shot blasted, and jet washed, to remove rust and scale.
2.Bolt holes are inspected and repaired if needed.
3. Lifter bores are checked for size and fit prior to roller burnishing.
4. Cylinder walls are bored to match piston set, precision surfaced with our diamond hone to uniform cross hatch pattern, creating support for lubricating oil film and creating a micro-finish.
5. Demagnetized prior to final cleaning before assembly.
6. Rods checked for bends and reconditioned.
Process of the Remanufactured Cylinder Head
1.Cylinder heads are oven baked, magma fluxed, shot blasted, and jet washed, to remove carbon, oil, residue, rust and scale.
2. Cylinder head is Magma fluxed or pressure-tested to identify and correct all cracks and flaws.
3. Valve seats are machine cut to a triple angle (all three angles cut simultaneously) with the latest state of the art machinery.
4. Resurface mill.
5. Guides are checked and replaced or new,over-size valves are use to provide better fit and oil control.
6. Valve stems are centerless ground, refaced, butt-end cut and chamfered.
7.All cylinder heads are vacumn tested to ensure proper valve sealing.
Process of the Remanufactured Crankshafts
1.Each crankshaft is first thoroughly cleaned. It is inspected not once, but three times, for warping cracks and other minute imperfections.
2.Abana slowly regrinds each crankshaft to insure exact dimensions. All bearing surfaces - main and rod journals and thrust surfaces - are precision machined to an 8-12 micro inch finish.
